The Body is

but the body is also
- Not only the Body -
In this workshop we will explore our individual physicality. How much we know about our adaptive potential and our behavioural tendencies facing physical tasks. We will look at forms as emerging properties of sustained attention, and via that at attentiont itself . If you are curious to ask questions prior pre-formulated protocols to understand your physicality, this workshop is for you.
How
do we map our sensory states?
do we coordinate ourselves in our environment?
do we communicate to stay viable in the continuous change?
Through bringing ourselves within dialogue we test and taste for the change we embrace-
and challenge ourselves with coordinations, movement situations and partnering practice.

The workshop is centered around exploratory perception via physicality. The teaching is inspired by Fighting Monkey Practice. I suggest you bring a notebook and pen for your personal observations.
From the Fighting Monkey Material - Zero Forms and Movement Situations:
Joint Articulations - the mapping of our landscape, its currents, its openness and how we are at home in it
Coordinations - to arrive, and how we arrive
Movement Situations - what assumptions we bring, and what we want to have validated
Improvisation - surprises we can find in ourselves
